LBF Ella Vermont
(Sereno Vermont Jazz x
LBF Juanita Valdez)

Ella is a very special filly here at the farm as she was orphaned pretty much at birth and never nursed. I bottle fed her for about a week and then she started to drink out of a pail. Ella was tiny when she was born but with a will of iron...and that is what brought her through the first few months.

She had the run of the farm the first two weeks and investigated everything without any fear. The only thing that she was afraid of was other horses. After two weeks I knew it would be a great mistake not to socialize her with one of her own so I put her out with Scarlet who was due to foal in a few weeks. Scarlet took good care of her. Ella was separated for about a week after Scarlet foaled Rhett and then turned back out with her. Ella and Rhett became inseperable. Today at almost two year of age, Ella is very well adjusted and still has that will of steel.
